Ragged Coast is a nationally recognized maker of fine handcrafted chocolates and baking mixes–and arguably one of our tastiest clients.
When we started working together, Ragged Coast had been pulled left and right by previous contractors and left with a mishmash of poorly defined conversion tracking and almost unusable data.

We revamped Ragged Coast's data connections, leveraging Elevar for server-side tracking and data layer events. This overhaul included setting up connections to a new GA4 property and all pertinent marketing platforms. As a result, we were able to deliver for the client comprehensive data transparency and reporting for campaigns for the first time.
With increased clarity and assurance we were able to increase ad spend by 100%, profitably, in the first year of our engagement.

They've consistently listened to our concerns and our goals and responded above our expectations.
Steve Shaffer, Co-Founder & CEO — Ragged Coast Chocolates
Nobody doubles ad spend on data they do not trust.
Ragged Coast arrived with conversion tracking assembled by a series of previous contractors and numbers that could not be reconciled against one another. That is not primarily a reporting problem — it is a spending problem. Every proposal to put more money into a channel runs into the same unanswerable question, and without an answer the safe move is always to spend less.
So the first engagement was not advertising at all. Server-side tracking through Elevar, a clean GA4 property, and every marketing platform wired to the same events — after which campaign work could be judged on evidence rather than argued about. Spend went up 110% in the first year and revenue went up 415%, because the increase was made against numbers everyone believed.
Measurement is rarely the exciting half of a marketing engagement. It is usually the half that decides whether the other one is allowed to happen.
We thought you might say that! We've been dying to meet you too.
